Museum of the Jewish People – Diaspora Museum Tel Aviv
UPDATE ON THE MUSEUM OF THE PEOPLE (AKA THE DIASPORA MUSEUM)
The Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot is undergoing serious renovations. An integral part of the museum has always been to show and explain the history of the Jewish people from the destruction of the Second Temple to today … and there will be more emphasis on “today”…
One of our favourite exhibitions is on the Synagogue Floor, which houses models of the many types of “house of worship” that existed and exist today… including what many find surprising – the Chinese synagogues and the Jewish-Chinese connection.
And an important note: The museum is wheelchair accessible – and it seems to have been a priority.
For example on the on the synagogue floor, each display has an explanation in Hebrew and English and is at the comfortable height for anyone in a wheelchair to be able to read easily…
There are exhibits suitable for the whole family – a great way to spend a few hours. What more can you ask … especially in the cool rainy days! ( OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK https://www.bh.org.il/ )
